African Soldiers Must Lead By Example| No Excuse For Coup

In the West and Europe, you will never, or rather, you will hardly see Soldiers in uniform roaming the street. The West and Europe set up this system in such a way that no matter the crisis, so far it is within the country, Soldiers’ intervention will never be the last option. They have different levels of Para military divisions that handle special civil crisis; their Soldiers are strictly for War. But in Africa, the Motherland, the government will first infiltrate a peaceful protest, self-create chaos to discredit the protest, then call it a riot to further legitimately excuse their next option of madness, and then say it is beyond the police to handle, hence bring in soldiers to kill those they were meant to protect against Intruders.

In some African countries like Niger, Mali, and Nigeria, wearing military uniforms as a civilian can cause serious trouble. If for any reason, they catch you in any form of Camo wear, “so pe o ti lo”, you are gone. Are these the set of people we now want to call leaders and liberators, people who wear certain clothes they never manufactured themselves but claim to own make them trigger-happy against those, the taxpayers they are meant to protect?

There is no excuse for a coup, no excuse for a military takeover, to liberate Africans, it’s ain’t going to be a one-man show, and from experience, it may start well but never ends well. When Africans are indeed tired, there will be an organic revolution, a leaderless movement against colonial puppets across African countries.

If African soldiers are truly sincere in liberating Africans, they must first lead by example to respect civilians, they must remain in their barracks till the clarion calls when they will then come out to protect African people. Africans do not need a new supervisor from another side of the coin; either way, they are both coins. Only Africans can save Africa.
