Fela Anikulapokuti Lives On

Fela Anikulapokuti lives on both in our heads and hearts; not because Nigerians loved him, but because his messages resonate nothing but the TRUTH, even in his grave.
Fela Anikulapokuti who died over 20 years ago took after his death mum Funmilayo Ransomkuti Pan-Africanist and Revolutionary Act.
Like Ganni Fawehinmi, Femi Falana, and the likes, Fela also contested for Presidency. In 1979, Fela contested for Presidency under the MOP, movement of the people where is manifesto was based on Nkrumahism and Africanism, Nigerians refused to support him, they called him Igbo smoker, and crazy, said he’s not fit to be President. Eventually, his candidacy a d party was refused.
Nigeria is the luckiest country in Africa with a few leaders ready to lay their lives for our betterment, but unfortunately Nigerians act as if they prefer bad and dullard, dinosaurian brain rulers. We all don’t have excuse as to what Nigeria has become, Nigerians are full of self centered hypocrites especially on leadership matters.
