How Martin Luther King Died
Did you know that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did not die from a gunshot wound? Instead, evidence suggests that he was suffocated in the hospital.
In 1999, the King family won a wrongful death lawsuit against Loyd Jowers for his role in the assassination of Dr. King. The jury concluded that King was the victim of a conspiracy involving the Memphis police and federal agencies. As a symbolic gesture, the family was awarded only $100 in damages.
The King family’s lawyer, William F. Pepper—who was also a friend of Dr. King—began investigating the case and uncovered disturbing details. He discovered that while Dr. King had been shot, the wound itself was not fatal. He was still alive when he was brought to the hospital and was receiving treatment in the emergency room.
According to Pepper’s findings, the medical team was doing their best to keep Dr. King alive when Dr. Breen Bland, the hospital’s Chief of Neurosurgery, entered the room with two unidentified men in suits. Bland allegedly ordered the staff to stop working on King, saying, “Let him die.” He then commanded everyone to leave the room.
As the last nurse was exiting, she reportedly witnessed something shocking: the three men spat on King’s body. Then, she saw Dr. Bland take a pillow, place it over King’s face, and suffocate him.
Despite the gravity of these claims, this story has largely been buried and remains unknown to many.
