Nigeria Was Primarily Established As a Business Entity
Never forget Nigeria as a Nation was formed from a business deal established and set up as the Royal Niger Company. The Amalgamation was the sync of the minor shareholders who to this day are in cordial allegiance with the major stakeholders.
The Royal Niger Company was a company set up for the exchange of goods for profits. It was chartered by the British government in the early 19th century, and was then called United African Company and renamed to National African Company in 1881 and then to Royal Niger Company around 1886.
What hypothetically led to the thought of even having what we now call Nigeria was because a chartered company couldn’t hold its own against the state-supported protectorates of France and Germany, and in consequence, its charter was revoked around 1899 and, on the first of January 1900, the Royal Niger Company transferred its territories to the British Government for a total sum of £865,000 – Eight Hundred and sixty-five thousand pounds. This was the amount said to have sold the whole of Nigeria.
Only Nigerians can break themselves out of these chains. We can use their wrongful gains to our advantage, weaponizing for ourselves what was a Tool to them. What they believe to be impossible as possible. The Tail Class of Nigeria must unite, and form alliances with as many patriotic professionals of Nigeria to Democratically take power from the hands of these minor shareholders called the ruling elites class. Nigerians must become class-conscious.
