Remembering Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh The EBOLA Heroine

Yesterday 19th of August 2024, family and friends of Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh, paid tribute to the Ebola Heroine.
In a message published online: Today we remember one of Nigeria’s greatest heroines in history, Dr Stella Ameyo Adadevoh on the 10th anniversary of her death.
Adadevoh was able to diagnose and contain the spread of the Ebola virus which was brought into the country by Patrick Sawyer on July 14. On August 4, she tested positive for the virus. Sadly, she died from the virus in quarantine on August 19, 2014.
Her great-grandfather, Herbert Macaulay is popularly known as the founding father of Nigerian nationalism while her father, Babatunde Adadeboh was a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos. She graduated from the University of Lagos College of Medicine with an MBBS.
She was the Lead Consultant Physical and Endocrinologist at the First Consultants Medical Center in Lagos till her death. She was married with a son, Bankole Cardoso.
May her soul continue to rest in peace.
