Twitter(X): Sowore’s Tweet on Ogun State Sparks Controvesy

Sowore’s tweet against Ogun State’s government has stirred debate on Twitter (X). Sowore, who ran for the highest office in the land, the presidency, in the recently concluded election in February this year, visited Sango-Otta and returned with the opinion that Ogun State is completely devoid of government and should be classified as an ungoverned space by the United Nations (UN).

Sowore’s tweet was accompanied by the hashtag #RevolutionNow, which has been widely circulated on social media by other sympathisers. The tweet has gotten the attention of many online.

The tweet sparked a plethora of reactions on social media, with some hailing Sowore’s courage to speak out, while others argued that such provocative statements would only worsen the already fragile, peaceful environment in the state.

One of the notable people who made a comment on the tweet was Senator Sehu Sani, who agreed with him.

It remains to be seen ifhe UN will classify Ogun State as an ungoverned space, in line with Sowore’s request.
