Chad’s Electoral Registration Comes to an End

Chadians are utilising the opportunity to register for the revision of the electoral roll, despite initial difficulties. They are not ready to be caught offside when it comes to voting in future elections and are registering at various centres in the Republic and Arrete number 897/PR/MATDE/CAR of December 21, 2020.

Locals in areas like Chaqoua are ready to repeat the process until a change is witnessed, as they want to obtain their voter’s card that grants them citizenship rights to enable them to pick their ideal candidate during future elections.

Federalists caution the masses against taking part in the revision due to irregularities in the registration process, but they are seeking an amendment to accommodate all citizens.

Gapili Tedang, representative of the core TCHAD coordination, emphasised the importance of the registration exercise not only for selecting an ideal candidate via the ballot but also for future elections.

They are urging activists and the general public to register for the process and request that the registration process be put back to cover areas that failed at the first attempt, allowing all eligible citizens to register.
