Alarming Reports: Nigerian Army Personnel Unpaid and Fed Stones in Zamfara – Truth Revealed by Army

Nigerian Army personnel have reported delays in receiving their operational allowances for January, February, and March 2024. Soldiers, navy, and policemen in Operation Hadarin Daji in Zamfara have not been paid for three months and are being fed poor meals with stones in their rice.

The army dismissed claims of poor feeding and nonpayment of allowances for December 2023 of troops from the division deployed to Zamfara State in January.

Acting Deputy Director Army public relations, Lieutenant Colonel Ikechukwu Eze, stated that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division was at the forefront of clearance operations in Zamfara State to ensure socio-economic activities continue to flourish.

The army claims that the GOC has been feeding from the same source as the troops, demonstrating his commitment to their well-being and morale.
