Charles Inojie: Sam Loco-Efe the Unmatched Genius of Nollywood
Veteran Nigerian actor Charles Inojie has praised his late colleague, Sam Loco-Efe, as “the most intelligent Nollywood actor that ever lived.”
Inojie described Efe as “from another planet” due to his genius and ability to correct others from afar.
He described Sam Loco-Efe as a “non-neophyte” who would read lines from afar and correct others when they missed their lines.
Inojie criticized the country for not awarding him a national honour, a practice that is now common in the country.
Inojie also noted that SamLoco-Efe’s role in Nigeria’s FESTAC 1977 entry, ‘Lambodo’, earned him a special mention from the Queen as the best actor in Africa.
Sam Loco-Efe passed away on August 7, 2011, at the age of 65.
