LP Rejects Tribunal Judgment, To Consult with Lawyers

Following the panel headed by Justice Haruna Tsammani’s rejecting of the Labour Party’s petitions, the ruling of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal has been rejected by the LP in Nigeria.

The petitions, which were submitted by LP lawyers, were rhetorical in nature and sought to overturn Tinubu’s designation as the election’s victor since he did not receive 25% of the vote in the FCT. Obiora Ifoh, the party’s national publicity secretary, advised supporters to maintain their composure and hinted that they would speak with their solicitors before expressing their opinions.

Ifoh congratulated the legal team for exposing the injustice in the system and urged all supporters of democracy to stay determined and upbeat because a new Nigeria is yet conceivable. After speaking with their solicitors and receiving a Certified True Copy of the verdict, the party will outline its position.
