Sowore Reveals Dora Akunyili as Secret Informant in Government
Former presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has revealed that the late Dora Akunyili, former Director General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), was one of his informants within the Nigerian government.
Sowore, who is known for his activism and criticism of the Nigerian government, expressed his appreciation for Akunyili’s courage in working to make Nigeria a better place, both publicly and behind the scenes. He recounted how she would go into the bathroom to make secret phone calls to him, showing her dedication to the cause.
Akunyili was known for her efforts to combat counterfeit drugs and improve the quality of food and drugs in Nigeria during her time at NAFDAC. She passed away in 2014, but her legacy continues to inspire others to work towards a better Nigeria.
Sowore’s revelation sheds light on the challenges faced by those within the government who are working to bring about positive change, and serves as a reminder of the importance of their contributions.
