Tinubu Assures Imminent National Population Census in Nigeria

Bola Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, has promised the National Population Commission that the Federal Government will back the flawed census.

He urged government ministries, departments, and agencies to work together, and census specialists should leverage state-of-the-art technology to get data efficiently.

Additionally, Tinubu lauded Nigeria’s ability to withstand natural calamities.

N200 billion had been set up for the census by the previous Muhammadu Buhari administration, but other pressing issues forced the Federal Government to postpone the project.

The President called for effective data sourcing and underlined the value of data for the development of the country.
