Tinubu Pleased with UK Court Ruling on $11B P&ID Debt

Mohammad Idris, Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, has expressed his delight over the UK court’s decision to overturn the $11 billion judgement against Nigeria.

Idris claimed that Nigeria saved $11.6 billion thanks to a single judgement that was brought over time against the Federal Government of Nigeria rather than the current administration.

The Nigerian government, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, handled the lawsuit wisely and quickly, making sure all necessary legal safeguards were in place to win the case.

President Tinubu and the members of the Finance Council hailed the news and expressed their satisfaction with Nigeria’s development in this direction.

The $11 billion judgement against Nigeria in a case brought by the Process and Industrial Developments Company was overturned by the Business and Property Court in London.
