Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Algerian Football Player and Coach

Algerian football team Mouloudia d’El Bayadh has lost goalkeeper Zakaria Bouziani and assistant coach Khaled Meftah in a bus accident in Tiaret, causing ten other members to be injured.

The accident occurred on matchday 11 before the team was heading to Tizi-Ouzou.

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) has suspended all football activities scheduled for the weekend, including the 32nd and 16th finals of the Algerian Cup, until further notice.

Algeria recorded over 32,200 road accidents in 2022, causing over 1,100 deaths and 40,000 injuries.
