Warning: Hausa Group Advises Against Joining Protests Targeting Tinubu

A Hausa socio-cultural group, represented by the Hausawa Tsantsa Development Association (HTDA), has cautioned Hausa youths against joining alleged protests against President Bola Tinubu’s administration. The group believes the protests are driven by self-interest and highlighted that the Fulanis do not hold power at the presidency. They drew parallels to tactics used during the transition from Goodluck Jonathan’s government to Buhari’s.

The group distanced itself from the protests, criticizing the focus on hunger and LGBTQ issues, pointing out that attacks on farms and farmers are the root cause of food shortages. They expressed loyalty to Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government and prayed for his and Nigeria’s well-being.

Former federal lawmaker and activist, Senator Shehu Sani, accused northern political forces of plotting to leverage ex-President Buhari to undermine President Tinubu’s administration. Sani warned of a political realignment in the North aimed at garnering support against Tinubu. He stressed the risk of using Buhari’s influence to rally opposition and potentially destabilize the current government.
