Wike: Tinubu Feels Nigerians’ Pain; I’ll Deliver As FCT Minister

Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has stated that he opted to hold the position of minister because he had faith that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would keep his commitments to Nigerians.

On Monday, he gave a speech at the beginning of the road rehabilitation project in Abuja’s Garki neighbourhood.

The minister further promised that Tinubu understands the suffering of Nigerians and that the newfound optimism was real.

The FCT minister of state and I are here, according to Wike, to reassure you that Tinubu’s agenda of Renewed Hope is effective and to inform you of the FCT’s progress.

“Mr. President’s plan includes both talking and doing. And for that reason, we’ve decided to start by blocking off a few roads in this region.

Phase one is barely beginning. We go on to phase two in the next weeks. Infrastructure for roads is the topic here. The President has made a lot of promises. They are being taken one by one.

“I’ve told you right here that if anything doesn’t work, I won’t be a party, but because I know Mr. President has good intentions for this nation and wants what’s best for it, I said I’d serve in his cabinet because he’s shown Nigerians that he understands their suffering.”
