Tragic Loss: Seven University Students in Nigeria Succumb to Generator Fumes
Seven university students tragically passed away from inhaling fumes emitted by a generator located within a music studio in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state. The students were present at the studio, which is owned by Akpos Reuben Braokubo.
The studio’s team relied on generators due to inconsistent power supply, leading to this devastating incident. Six bodies were discovered on-site, while one individual succumbed to the fumes at the hospital. The majority of those affected were affiliated with Niger Delta University and engaged in the recording industry.
Following the tragedy, security personnel secured the premises, and the deceased were transported to a morgue in Yenagoa. Online, friends and acquaintances are mourning the loss of their loved ones.
