How Pope Francis Longed For World Peace
Pope Francis passed away on Easter Monday, April 21st, 2025. Pope Francis was well known for advocating for peace across the world. He has also shown concern and openly condemned the ongoing war in Gaza, which her termed as not a war but cruelty. On a few occasions, he was seen in phone conversations with the Christians and people of Gaza. Not just Palestinians, the Pope has also openly condemned many ongoing wars in Africa.

In a rare and humbling moment, Pope Francis knelt and kissed the feet of South Sudanese leaders — pleading with them to end the conflict and unite to rebuild their nation.

Up to his death, Pope Francis has continuously longed resolve disputes by addressing the root causes, and urging those in the positions of power to take responsibility for their actions.
