Atlanta Mayor Proclaims November 18th as ‘Davido Day’

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens has proclaimed November 18th as “Davido Day” to honor Nigerian-American singer Davido.

The Mayor and the Atlanta City Council declared the day after the OBO crooner’s headline A.W.A.Y Festival at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Mayor Dickens praised the afrobeat crooner for his contributions to the music industry, as a renowned singer, songwriter, producer, business leader, philanthropist, and community advocate.

The Atlanta City Council declared November 18, 2023, as Davido Day in the City of Atlanta.

In Fulton County, Georgia, the Fulton Council Board of Commissioners proclaimed November 21, 2023, as “Davido Appreciation Day” in Fulton County, Georgia.

The Mayor and Fulton County Board of Commissioners recognize Davido’s contributions to the music and entertainment industry.
