Davido Commits ₦300 Million Charitable Contributions in Nigeria

Nigerian musician Davido has announced plans to donate 300 million naira to orphanages in Nigeria as his yearly contribution to the nation.

The Adeleke Foundation, founded by Davido in 2022, aims to help vulnerable children. In July 2023, the foundation donated over 200 million to orphanages in Nigeria, benefiting 13,818 children.

Davido pledged to donate more money in 2024. He founded the foundation with a strong desire to continually assist and create a proper framework for ongoing charitable works to benefit the good people of Nigeria.

The charitable tradition began in 2021 after the singer made over ₦200 million in donations after sharing his bank account details on his Twitter page.
