Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Meets Pope Francis at Vatican to Strengthen Diplomatic Ties with Ghana

Ghana’s Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, held a meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two nations.

The historic encounter at the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall marked a milestone in diplomatic engagement. The discussions focused on Ghana’s political and socio-economic landscape, particularly exploring potential collaborations in education and healthcare.

The dialogue emphasized Ghana’s commitment to advancing its socio-economic development and seeking partnerships with global stakeholders.

Dr. Bawumia also met with Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations, to discuss pressing international issues, including security challenges in West Africa and the Gulf of Guinea.
