How Nigerians Dominated The 2024 Olympics Medal Table Without Nigeria Winning A Medal.

One could say the Paris 2024 was a success, but at the same time seems strange with the presence of many unfamiliar participants and the outcome of their performances.

Our discussion here is focused on Nigerians at the Olympics and Team Nigeria,  a supposed sports event that eventually reflects the rot in Nigeria and the potential of Nigerians if enabled.

It is no longer news that Team Nigeria left the Olympics with zero medals, however, Nigerians who represented other countries who are interested in investing in their youths and sports, came back to those countries with flying colors.

Here is a list of some Nigerians who won medals for the countries they represented:

Nigeria is one of the countries that ought to have developed, but every one of our resources that ought to have been used to develop the country and invest in our youths have been pocketed by the rulers.

It is unfair to label those who choose to represent other countries unpatriotic, when in fact the unpatriotic Nigerians are the ones who systematically prevent Nigerians from having the finished skills, the enabling environment, and the right tools to compete with their peers across the globe. No doubt, it is evident that Nigerians have the capacity, and this is why they shine whenever they choose to represent countries willing to invest in them.

Over the years Nigerian Rulers have demanded so much from the youths to put up the great work, representing our land, and yes many Nigerians to date are, many are still selfless regardless.  But this can never be enough to collectively make the country proud as the youth do not have the power, or the capacity to propel such a wish, it will only end up as an individualistic approach. There are countless examples of Nigerian youths who have self-sponsored themselves to represent Nigeria and emerged victorious.

A reflection of the times, zero investment in sports, zero investment in creativity, zero investment in the people, but 100% investment in government officials pockets and their family members … “our children will ask their children about what their fathers did to our people “

Enough of the Nigerian government demanding greatness from the youths that are not regarded, the youths whose yearnings for a better life, safe environment does not count. The Nigerian Government must now more than ever be willing to give back to the Youths of Nigeria.
