– Rena Wakama is the First female coach to ever win an Afrobasket title.
– Qualified Nigeria to the Olympics.
– Qualified Nigeria to the quarterfinals of the Olympics for the very first time.
– Ended a 20-year drought by securing D’Tigress’s first Olympic win since 2004.
– Led Nigeria to their first-ever victories against the Top 3 (Australia) and Top 5 (Canada) teams at the Olympics.
– Accomplished all this in just one year at the age of 32.
