Nigeria Police Academy Students Face Hunger Crisis: Calls for Intervention
Students at the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, have reported persistent hunger due to irregular feeding and food size reductions by school authorities.
Cadets have accused a new caterer, CSP Funke, of living on all the money allocated for feeding the students. The institution now provides insufficient food and leaves students struggling for food due to the caterer not cooking their breakfast. The current caterer, CSP Funke, is seen as reducing the quantity of food and making life difficult for the students.
The students have urged President Bola Tinubu and other relevant authorities to intervene in the matter and investigate both the Commandant (AIG Sadik) and the caterer. The police academy has yet to respond to the allegations, as efforts to reach them have failed. The students have called for the Presidency, Minister of Police Affairs, IGP of Police, and other organizations to intervene and investigate the situation.
