Septimius Severus: The Black Man Who Built London Wall
Here is the story of Septimius Severus, the Black Roman Emperor Who Built the historical London Wall.
Septimius Severus Lucius was the 13th Roman Emperor and the first ruler who hailed from Africa, in a region that consist of what is now today’s Libya. Septimius Severus, born in Leptis Magna, a place in Cyrene, Northern Africa, was said to have invaded and conquered some parts of Britain, after which he built the wall to prevent the invasion of London by the Barbarians and his political rivals from Rome.
Today you will find a sculpture of him in the prestigious London British museum. Till this day, the Roman London wall stands as a monument of historical pride and named after him.
