South African President Condemns Gaza Conflict, Urges Ceasefire

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa has condemned the ongoing Gaza crisis as a “genocidal onslaught and slaughter of the people of Palestine.

He drew parallels between the struggles of Palestinians and South Africans during their own tumultuous history.

Ramaphosa called for an immediate ceasefire and emphasized the collective responsibility to prevent further suffering.

The South African government issued a warning to citizens involved in the conflict, expressing concern over reports that some nationals may have joined the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) to fight in Gaza.

The State Security Agency (SSA) is actively tracking down individuals involved in this activity.
