Kano Allocates Nearly N100 Million for Renovation of Nasarawa Emir’s Palace Amid Emirate Crisis
The Kano State Executive Council has sanctioned N99,928,541.63 for the refurbishment of the Nasarawa palace, formerly inhabited by Alhaji Ado Bayero post his dismissal by the state. This resolution arose from a legal altercation concerning the Kano Emirate.
Following his eviction from the principal Emir’s palace, Bayero was transferred to the smaller palace. Additional noteworthy allocations encompass N81,621,546.76 for a Sickle-Cell Care Unit at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and N770,858,450.39 for a Post-Midwifery Institute situated in Gezawa Local Government Area.
Furthermore, the council has endorsed the disbursement for extra workload incentives for instructors in two state-run institutions, ADUST and YUMSUK. These funds will address educational infrastructure and healthcare improvements throughout the region.
