Miss South Africa Withdraws From Miss Universe Contest

Due to health concerns, Miss South Africa 2024 Mia Le Roux has withdrawn from the Miss Universe competition.

The Miss Universe 2024, which is currently ongoing in Mexico, has contestants from over 80 different countries in attendance. Each contestant won the beauty pageant held in their respective countries which led to them representing their countries at the ongoing Miss Universe.

Le Roux who won this year’s Miss South Africa after the unfortunate withdrawal of Miss Chidima Adetshina as South Africans rejected her participation in the contest due to her origin despite being born in South Africa. Le Roux announced her withdrawal due to health reasons, whilst Chidima is still in the competition representing Nigeria.
