Nigerian gospel musician and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, has been invited to lead worship at the Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast for U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, set for January 20, 2025, in Washington, D.C.
Bassey, originally from Akwa Ibom State, shared the news on his Instagram account, posting a promotional flyer for the event with the caption, “Let’s make a sound in America.”
The USA Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast is a non-partisan, faith-centered gathering held every four years before the inauguration of a new president. Its main goal is to offer spiritual backing for the incoming administration through prayer and worship.
Nathaniel Bassey, widely known for his moving worship music and as the creator of the globally popular Hallelujah Challenge, is recognized for his chart-topping songs like Imela, Onise Iyanu, and Olowogbogboro. He has gained worldwide recognition as one of Nigeria’s most influential gospel artists.
