Just In: Minimum Wage Negotiation Between Labour Leaders and Tinubu Government Hits Roadblock, Postponed to Next Week

President Bola Tinubu’s emergency meeting on the new national minimum wage with organized labour ended without a conclusion.

The Nigerian government is close to finalizing an agreement with the labour unions. During the meeting at the Aso Villa, President Tinubu discussed the minimum wage with representatives.

However, Nigeria Labour Congress President Joe Ajaero maintained the positions of N250,000 for Labour and N62,000 for the Federal Government. The nation’s workforce eagerly awaits the government’s decision on the new minimum wage.
