Senator Ndume Criticizes Tinubu Government as a “Kakistocracy” Led by Incompetent Individuals and Thieves

Senator Ali Ndume, the Nigerian Senate’s Chief Whip, criticized the Nigerian government, labelling it a “kakistocracy” where corrupt and incompetent individuals wield power. He censured the leadership for prioritizing personal gain over national welfare, highlighting systemic issues and political challenges.

Ndume deplored the president’s inaccessibility, contrasting it with past administrations. He called for the president to address critical issues like climate change and food insecurity by appointing competent figures and embracing inclusive governance.

Ndume favored removing fuel subsidies to combat corruption, proposing food stamps to support vulnerable citizens. Expressing concern over public discontent, he noted dismissive responses from officials in the Presidential Villa, indicating a disconnect from reality.
