Ondo State Government Approves 2024 Budget with Controversial Allocations

The Ondo State Government has approved a budget for 2024, earmarked over N1.3 billion for fuel for generators and motor vehicles, and N743 million for refreshments and meals.

Meanwhile, the budget also includes N1,543,300,476.00 for welfare packages and N2,088,800,000.00 for conflict/dispute management.

The budget was approved and signed into law by Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who presented a N384.5 billion budget to the Assembly.

However, the House passed a N395.257 billion budget. The new governor submitted six names for confirmation as commissioners to the state house of assembly.
