Binance Money Laundering Trial Adjourned: Latest Updates Revealed

Nigeria’s court adjourns money laundering trial involving Binance and its executives to May 17. The trial, which started Thursday, includes charges of laundering $35.4 million and conducting financial activities without a license.

Binance also faces four tax evasion charges in a separate trial set to resume on the same date. The Nigerian government seeks information on citizens trading on the platform.

The trial, marked by controversy since the arrests of Gambaryan and Anjarwalla on February 26, has faced accusations of illegal detention and passport seizure. This adjournment in the money laundering trial marks the second delay in its formal commencement at the Abuja court.
